God’s Next Move

Prophecy 10th February 2002 at St. Luke’s Morning Service by Maria Johnstone.

We are all a part of God’s sovereign plan. There are points of time in history when the Holy Spirit moves in great power. There are other periods of time when the Holy Spirit hovers quietly. We have been coming through such a time.

We are at the threshold of God wanting to move again in saving power on the face of the earth.

He is calling upon us as a congregation to set our hearts upon what he is going to do, and to say. “We want to be a part of this sovereign plan.” This is a personal decision for our growth and for us to grow as a church, not primarily in numbers (as such), but in people being saved and growing in Christ.

The opportunity was given at the service to enter into such a prayer of welcome of God’s coming work and to be involved. Maria led in prayer.

It is now time for us to call a Fast at St. Luke’s to intercede for Australia, that no seed of Islam will flourish, and that God’s plans for this country will be established and that transformation will occur.

Fast Period - Monday 18th to Friday 22nd February 2002.

All fasting is voluntary. People with medical conditions should observe medical advice. Copies of previously circulated material on fasting are available from me.
People undertaking the Fast are encouraged to seek the guidance of the Lord on the length and specific nature of their fast. Some may fast for one day, or for any number of days within the fasting period.

This Fast has nothing to do with the fact of Lent as such, but is in response to a sense of Christ’s leading at this time.

People who are not fasting are urged to enter into intercession for the fulfillment of the purposes of the Fast.
